Finally tagged Mount Moran. Had a great crew with me including SnowWayJose and other non-mags.

For those that are interested there are TONS more pictures, information (conditions, maps, etc) and a write-up HERE.

Pretty damn cool.
Y'all had quite the range of skis up there. How did that work out?

Four of us (Me, Andre, Palmer and Davis) had 4FRNT skis.  I had the Hoji, Andre had the Turbos, and Palmer and Davis had the EHP's.  They may have been a smidge heavy on the hike, but I'm glad I didn't have anything too noodly on the way down (I'm a big guy, 6'5", 230 lbs).  In hindsight, I kind of wish I had brought my Renegades.  They're a little heavier, but I would have enjoyed the extra stiffness.

Clayton had a light pair of G3's with Dynafit bindings.  He loved them on the way up, but had to take it pretty easy on the way down because they're much softer.

That looked awesome.  Moran is on my hit list.  Tried earlier this year, but got turned around due to various issues, but I did have some sweet powder skiing from just up in the "handle", to the lake.  It looks like you boys powered thru some pretty gnarly conditions.  Great job!

Great write up here and on the blog.  I forget who I was talking too about rafts and motors but it must have been your friend.  I have a motor for my raft and it has been a giant PITA to get it legal and pay the registration fees every year for the rest of my life.  I don't use the motor more than a few times a year and everything accosiated with the raft is more expensive now that the state thinks it's a "powerboat".  Your friend replied that his buddies got their ass kicked rowing a cat-raft across Jackson Lake in the wind.  It was probably you guys biggrin.gif.  I like to motor on Jenny Lake to fish this time of year and will use it on the S. Fork a few times in the summer.  Eventually I will use it on Cataract Canyon.  Next time you come I might be willing to help you out.
