I don't agree with some of the above.
IMO, the video speed was usually dialed up when he was on the snow and slowed about to normal when in the air. And slaloming through the poma line is no big deal for lots of folks, especially in the laissez-faire Alps.
Likewise, long-established jumps with lots of tracks indicating where people have gone are routine there, too. The ski area's risk consultants would have them roped off here in the US. (I have mixed feeling about which way is better.)
How well you are able to ski is related to how hard you are willing to fall.
