Comments: I'm 44 but these made me feel 20 again .

My usual ski of choice is a mid-fat around 180cm. So when a mate offered me the use of these I jumped at the chance to try something different, and to see if these new slalom skis were as good as everyone has been saying. Back in the day a long slalom ski made a pretty good all-mountain tool, so I was keen to see what had changed in 20 years.

In short - these skis are FUN! I can't really offer a technical review because I haven't tried anything else comparable. But some things that stood out for me were:
- awesome suck into the turn (love those G-forces)
- much less effort required than I expected
- great edge-hold
- quick (well, duh, its a slalom ski)
- easy to vary the turn radius during the turn
- they do big turns at high speed too
- don't get back! (I crashed, once)
- not bad in the wind-effected off-piste
- you can cruise and they still carve trenches
- great in the bumps

Oh yeah - I bought them

Hey, welcome to the world of high end Volkl skis. Quick, agyl, stable, but don't sit back on them, they tend to have a mind of their own. keep your knees over your toes and you'll be just fine.
