A Basin reporting 12" new snow (May 9)

12" new, 26" in last 72 hours. Its like the middle of January up there. Smith googles, down parka, winter gloves, deep powder.

@ Colorado Kid.  I have been posting snow conditions at Loveland for the last month prior to their closing.  These folks are in summer mode.  Let them be!

I might make it out today...when does MD gathering official start?

I was up on Tuesday. The MD gathering had a nice level of energy at that time. I can only imagine what a pow day will do. Sometimes it just plain sucks having a job.

 

Can't wait to return on Saturday.

At least you will have a season this year.   Last year some of my buds started running the Roaring Fork in March.  They knew it wouldn't last long and it was 70.
