Here's some photos, but I'll leave it up to you guys to match photos with screennames--I have a hard enough time remembering real names!

That's me in the light blue jacket!  Great to meet everyone, and thank you so much for the fantastic dinner Saturday night.  I didn't feel like skiing anymore this late in the season, but you guys set me straight.

Tons of pictures to add of day 2, but need to do some cropping at night. Tomorrow is reserved for taking my mother out for Mother's day--she was kind enough to postpone it herself to let me have more time out.

I can't believe anyone got a photo of me--I try to be the one behind the camera.

Hey!  I'm not THAT old!

It sure was fun making some turns with you Weems.  But......I thought you were going to take it easy on us.

Meanwhile, I think its great to see the really young ones getting their taste of snow at Arapahoe Basin.

Great pics!  Did HippieFlippin actually ski on the old Hart's?   Or were they just a prop in that sweet getup?

Geee, guys, looks like tons of fun and good snow...  beercheer.gif

I'm surprised none of you mentioned the party for the lady celebrating her 100th birthday at A-Bay on Saturday!  We all sang her 'Happy Birthday' from the lift line at the base and, rumor has it, some of the adaptive ski folks took her out to make some turns. I gather she'd also celebrated her 90th at A-Bay, and wanted to continue the tradition.  I hope she makes her 110th!!!

It was mentioned HERE, a milestone birthday like this does deserve it's own thread.

True, celebrating your 100th birthday on the mountain is good for more gnar points than I will probably ever get. ;)

Here's a pic of DSloan, me and KimmyT on top of the East Wall:

I had a fantastic weekend. Thanks to everyone for coming out & helping Mother's Day Weekend maintain its status as one of my favorites of the year.

Fun weekend and nice to see everyone!

What a great group of people. The Wife (Tawny), Benny and Riley had a big time hanging out on the beach between runs. What a awesome way to wrap up the season.

That was an absolutely amazing gathering!!  I had so much fun skiing and partying with the EpicSki crew!  Thanks so much for letting me hang, despite struggling to keep up from time to time (Philpug knows what I'm talking about smile.gif).  Next year I'll be more prepared....I'll be doing 12oz curls all off season as part of my training regiment.

Oh and thanks again for the doggy bag....super generous!

Wow! What a great and tremendously happy thread! Cheers and regards to all! Hopefully I'll be able to join some of you guys for some skiing next season!

Thanks again for one of the most fun half-weeks ever ... Unlike a few others, ahem, I managed to avoid sunburning myself -- except for blistering the hell out of my bottom lip because I spent 5 days outside LAUGHING.

I have a few more photos:

Pali chair on Thursday morning, back when winter was still in effect

The rest are from the beach yesterday

MastersRacer and HFNM, rockin' it

See ya at Burning Man! (CJSloan and BobEwing)

It was Mother's Day, after all... (that's me with my daughter and some of our non-internet buddies)

The crew just hanging

COSkiGirl and itri (not sure if she is on epic... from SkiDiva)

We had a pretty fantastic Mother's Day here at home.  Looks like yours was truly EPIC thoughbiggrin.gificon14.gif

Didn't you know there was an official ban of the use of the word "epic" in describing events????? The penalty is severe...Rules.gif

Ziggy was busy. Not only did the dog stop the chair lift once, Ziggy also left a "deposit" on the magic carpet!

I had a great time meeting new and old friends. I'm glad I could made it. It was my first day of spring conditions; the skiing was great.

Although this wasn't an "Epic" member, there was surfboarding on the beach.

The attitude that jumps from this post would've fit right in with the group and vibe at AB...look forward to skiing with you as well.

Just read that Pali has closed. I don't think it's freezing at night, so I'm not surprised. Glad I had a lot of quality time on my favorite chairlift during the past couple of weeks!

Is the concern that there would be repeat of that big avalanche from a couple years ago?

Back home in Boston...  It was great skiing with all of you the past couple days!  I'm sorry I waited until the 7th version of the Mother's Day Gathering to attend one; I'll definitely try to make these more often!
