It is with great sadness that I share with you that Chris passed away Saturday, May 4th, after a difficult battle with cancer. Chris, who was affectionately known as "H", came to Mountain Creek in 2005 from Keystone as our Ride and Ski School Manager. He was promoted to Director of Resort Operations two years later and guided the school, renamed the Ski and Snowboard School, and other departments until he left to become the General Manager of The Hidden Valley Club in 2009.

Received this in an email today. Chris was a great guy, fun to be around, loved by all. Gone way too young.

He'll be missed.

My oldest son (6) recently finished his second season in Hidden Valley's hotshot pre-race program. Chris seemed nice and had his act together.

Wow--sad news. I worked with "H" for many years at Keystone, as he progressed from kids' ski instructor to supervisor to manager to Director of the Ski & Ride School. Unfortunately, I have pretty much lost touch with Chris since he left Colorado, but I have heard many good things about him from those who knew him or worked for him at Mountain Creek. I seemed that Chris had found a great home there, that he was greatly respected and loved, and doing great. I had not heard that he was ill.

Chris was a passionate and energetic professional and a fun guy to be around. Sincere condolences to his family and friends, spread wide across the country and beyond.

Best regards,
