Buying Ski's Online [for a woman in New Zealand] - Page 2

Melanie,

I can add my 2 cents more about the stores and less about the skis.

Out of those 3 stores you mentioned (L9, evo, backcountry and Sierra) , because you are shipping to NZ, I would highly recomend Level9 if they have the skis you want (I dont think they have Blizard or k2).  They get fantasitc prices on shipping to aus/nz, and because they are a smallish store you will get persnal service with them if you have any questions regarding the product or shipping. They have an online chat if you have questions (US hours of course).  I am in no way affilated with them although I do live down the road from them ;) (I'm not far from backcountry.com either!)  If you look on their site, you will see under the FAQ a lot of points on specifically sending to NZ about customs and taxes. I'd say they do it all the time.  Only thing is becuase ski season is almost over here in Utah (1 resort left open) I know L9 scale down operations, but they are still open and most stuff is now on sale.

By all means check out the stores who sponsor here, I'm not sure if they like sending overseas or not and it may be expensive for them/you.

If the shipping rate to NZ from L9 is reasonable they are great to deal with, I bought from them twice and saved a lot compare to local price (really shouldn't say saved, consider if I buy local I would never buy two pair of skis, lol).

PS they just got in lots of new old stock Head skis for cheap.

You are right, Trekchick,  I didn't read her post carefully, it was a bit late and I missed this one completely.  Thanks for pointing it out.  cheers, Winni
