I had the opportunity to ski the 2004 Stockli GS in a 180 cm several times over the past two months. At 230 lbs/6'1", the 180 cm was smooth, quiet and had a sharp, controlled edge-to-edge snap.
The ski felt nimble, meaning light under foot but at the same time never phased by harder snow surfaces. I even did some off-piste experimenting with it and it was more at ease than most GS's to tend to be (in deeper snow). In short, a very powerful, quiet ride with as much under the hood as anyone needs. Longer lengths should be carefully considered v. application. This ski shouldn't be sized by the GS formulas of yesteryear... shorter sizes won't disappoint in stability and will only tend to offer increased ease in turn initiation.
