eh did i just read High Rustler is the steepest longer lift serviced run in the western hemisphere? BAHAAHAHHAHAAHHAH
that does not even hold true in that canyon...... Snowbird has mutliple runs that are steeper than longer that require 1/2 the traversing, same with Jackson hole.
there are multple runs on the backside of the cirque traverse that exceed High rustlers vertical and steepness.
REGARDING ALF'S HIGH RUSTLER at ALTA, UTAH - please read the footnote and GO TO THE WEBSITE cited with the proof (and nothing in North or South America, etc. - Western Hemisphere - beats Alf's) and re-cited below as the first link - the "skiernet" link. Any LONGER runs on the list, and there are only a few, are much LESS steep, which placed Alta's High Ruslter in NO.1 for the Western Hemisphere (i.e.: North America, South America, Greenland, Iceland, Great Britain (only western areas past Greenwich), Ireland, Western Spain, Portugal, the Western Tip of Africa, the Carribean, and the eastern side of the South Pacific area called "Oceania") comparatively longest AND steepest ski run, collectively.
See, e.g.: (1) http://www.skiernet.com/angle-of-ski-trails.html (re Alf's), (2) http://us.fulbrightonline.org/countries/selectedregion/18 (re Western Hemisphere), and (3) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Hemisphere (Ibid.).
