So I have been a semi-professional ski bum for a couple of years now and this summer I am planning on going full pro. I am going to start at A Basin next week and stay there until they close. After that I'm planning on heading up to Mt. Hood to finish out the summer.
Has anyone else ever truly lived the ski bum life? Any tips or words of advice?
I'll be driving my Subaru Legacy which can double as a place to sleep. I also have an excellent tent that I have used in sub-zero conditions before. I have a single burner backpacking stove, a personal mess kit, and water purifying pumps for cooking purposes.
The two things that I haven't quite figured out are laundry and showering. I suppose I could find a laundromat every couple of weeks, but the showering thing has got me stumped. Any ideas beyond jumping in a lake or taking a sponge bath in a public restroom?
