From the actual police blotter so as not to just steal from Gawker:

Quote:
10:05 p.m. Police received a call from a woman who said her juvenile granddaughter was at the ski area last week and ran into a person who was selling bags of what she thought were portobello mushrooms dipped in chocolate for $30. Police said the granddaughter further informed her grandmother that giraffes were chasing her down the hill after she ate the mushrooms.

Better than the moose chasing people at Sugarbush. That was caught on video.

Anybody who pays $30 for mushrooms covered in chocolate knows EXACTLY what they are getting. Grandma's been had!

I could see those being very popular in CO and WA roflmao.gif

At what elevation do giraffes turn into zebras?

The Sierra Sun used to have an intern who published the better items from the police blotter.  My favorite was the neighbor who reported the house next door had been ransacked by thieves. Turned out to be bad housekeeping.  Or the guy who perpetrated a series of beef jerky thefts from convenience stores, all on the same day.  Unfortunately that intern left and now it's just the usual DUI's and domestic abuse calls.

Yeah, the entire Gawker network does enough sourcing content from other sites and news outlets that no one need lose sleep over that.

Phil is making dinner.  He's using mushrooms.  Should I be concerned about Giraffes in the hot tub later?

Edit:  Dinner is served

I think I see it hiding somewhere in the food there.

I'd rather step on a snake in the hot tub than an upside down beer bottle cap

Caps?  That's nothing,  I once lived in a condo with a common grassed area, and very quickly learned not to do kata in bare feet due to the broken beer bottles, and let's not even talk about the used hypodermic needles in the grass at the public beach.
