Powderhorn Extends the 2012-13 Ski/Snowboard Season Thanks to Three Feet of Fresh Powder
MESA, Colo. (April 17, 2013) – Powderhorn Mountain Resort is pleased to announce it will extend the 2012-13 season with skiing and riding this weekend, April 20 and 21. The resort reopens to passholders and guests with three feet of fresh powder since April 1, and a 74-inch base.
“We have a very loyal and supportive community of snowsports enthusiasts on the Western Slope and this is our way of saying thank you for a great season,” said Powderhorn General Manager Daren Cole. “And, as snowsports enthusiasts ourselves, we hate to see all of this great snow going to waste!”
Trails opening for the coming weekend include: Racers, Showdown, Equalizer, Bills, Maverick and Dude, served by the Take Four quad chairlift. Additional trails may be available, as well. The resort will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Full season passes for 2012-13 and passes for next season (2013-14), including employee passes, are valid this weekend, and no other discounts or promotions apply. Lift tickets for non-passholders are $30 for adults/seniors and $25 for youth/pre-teen tickets. Children ages six and under ski free for the weekend.
In addition, Sunday, April 21 is the final day to pre-purchase a 2013-14 season pass at the lowest price. Passes purchased or picked up at the resort during the coming weekend include a $25 Resort Credit valid next season for dining, lift tickets, equipment rentals, retail purchases and/or ski and ride school. Passes can be purchased at the Powderhorn ticket office throughout the weekend.
Additional services on Saturday and Sunday include: dining on the Sunset Grill deck (weather-dependent); Alpine Trader retail; limited equipment rentals; and guest services. Ski & Ride School will not be available.
