Yeah, I know, the liners pack out. This is probably a dumb question. I have a pair of boots with about 170 days on them, and I'm on my third pair of liners. Tecnica Inferno 130 purchased at the beginning of 10/11 season; stock liners didn't work out, so I put in a DFP high density Intuition liner after about 10 or 12 days. Perfect fit for the rest of that season and the next, 110-120 days total.
This season, I noticed some slop; we tried some fixes like shims underneath, etc, but it didn't work that great. So I bought the exact same liner, heated the same way, same shop, all that. Boots felt perfect again, but this time for only about another 10-15 days; they then started feeling sloppy. I am now having to crank down the buckles even more than I was early in the season on the old liner, and I'm about to max out my instep buckle (which I never even had to buckle at all the first season).
I never skied a boot 170 days before, is this just something that happens to the shell? When we double checked my measurements early this season, I seemed to measure closer to a 24 than a 25, but I've always been right on 25 before. Anyway, I'm confused. I guess the liner could have been messed up; but it felt perfect for a while, and this sure didn't happen with my last liner.
