Why the difference?

 

The northern Vt resorts LIE ABOUT THEIR SNOW TOTALS.  

I believe it's due to the high level of competition between the areas in the State.  

 

 

Le Massif is the snow king of the east.  Their website states a 21.6 ft... and IMO its the 100% God's honest truth.  Snow perservation and skier density rule over VT as well.

and yet the summit almost always has more base.

 

the stake is not checked till 4pm everyday mean that if 14 inches of snow falls stop by 7 am  and settled by 4 pm then it will not be 14 inches of snow on most days. If le massif got all that snow you would think we would be seeing more pics/video out of there showing that. So far nothing.......

I wish I had some, but I don't usually take a camera to the mountain.  I don't even take a lot of cellphone pics.  I usually regret it after the trip though.
