Go to Casa Bonita if you are taking kids, it's a blast.  Don't go if you are single, on a date or looking for good mexican food!

unless your date is a Southpark fan...

My favorite quotation ever, from Westword:

it's like Disney had sex with Tijuana and left the goofy-looking bastard to fend for itself in a random strip mall on Colfax.

roflmao.gif  Thanks.  I'd never seen that quote.

Here's a funny mashup of the South Park episode and the real thing for those who have no clue what we are talking about:

Haha I would love to go but as I'm only spending a night in Denver and I'm a single guy I'll have to save it for next time.

I know I've hijacked this thread for myself but I really appreciate all of the help. So I booked the Courtyard Marriot for $150 close to Lodo and 16th St mall and I'll wander around Lodo, have a few drinks and dinner. Will have to control myself so I'm not hurting skiing Loveland the next day. Will ski Loveland on Sat then check in to the condo in Breck ($75 a night) and ski A Basin a couple of days and hang around Breck.

My first time traveling alone! Woot!

Perfect.  You'll have a blast!   The weather and snow will be great, and Lodo will be nuts tomorrow night.  Have fun!

Downtown for sure.  Stay there Friday night and you'll get the night life you are looking for, and it will help with altitude acclimation.  You'll want to go out in lodo around Coors Field.  Stay anywhere within walking distance of lodo, or along the 16th street mall and its free shuttle bus.  Don't drink to much or you'll negate any acclimation benefit!  Try priceline.  I bet you'll find a deal downtown at a nice place.

Edit:  Priceline won't let you narrow the location down enough.  Look on the map and you want to be anywhere between Coors Field and the Civic Center.  Comfort Inn and Embassy Suites might be what you are looking for.

Zip Code = 80202

Don't forget the suntan lotion (raccoon eyes are a rookie mistake).
