Spring in the Cascades

Peak Travels made it to The Summit at Snoqualmie a couple of weeks ago and found some excellent spring conditions. Although SAS is now closed for the season, this shows how good it can be in the Cascades, even at lower elevations. There is some really fun terrain in the pass, highlighted by Alpental. Check it out when you get the chance.

This past weekend, Peak made it to Crystal Mountain, south of Snoqualmie Pass at the foothills of Mt. Rainier. Crystal apparently has decided to forgo spring and just stick to prime winter conditions. While most folks are priming their lawnmowers, breaking out the golf clubs, or looking to get back into bike shape, Crystal is serving up the goods until mid-June. Check this out! I'm thinking I'll be over in a couple of weeks to keep my addiction fed.

FWIW, Alpental and Summit Central are still open weekends at this point.

Ah!  Good to know. That's right, it's Long Board Day (TGR reference - search if interested) at Alpy this Saturday. Duh!
