I like to accessorize with earth tones, gray highlights, and a little splash of red on the cheeks:

As my son's friend Phil told Dirk Suchy at Snowbird, "You are a good enough skier to wear bright pants."

I alternate between "just say no" and "these are growing on me".

I need to get crackin' on figuring if I can swing A-Basin.  April here in New England has been a washout, at least on the days I could go skiing.  I need my spring skiing day!

segbrown's pant suggestion has yellow zippers...  I was thinking it went pretty well with the jacket.

My attempt to ignite the male skier fashion world with the Darth Vader look failed pretty miserably.  redface.gif  I have even less of a chance to start a down skirt revolution.  Maybe if I was in Scotland?

Jacket quiver???  You're the jacket slut, not me.  wink.gif

The poles are Goode's...  Black with orange handles.

I have a variety of EpicSki logo'd hats.  What else do I need?

That was back in April 06.

I'm still in yellow most day's with light gray pants.

Just don't get a yellow helmet, people may get you mixed up with me if you ski Okemo.

Not that that could be a bad thing... just be ready to say hi to a lot of people who say Hi Byron. lol

We need a list:

  • No yellow helmet to avoid confusion with Max Capacity
  • No purple pants to avoid confusion with Josh Matta

Anybody else want to avoid being confused with my total awesomeness?

I agree. Where would he buy them though?

I've come to realize color...skittles and all...rule in all snow sport conditions outside of obvious fashion style point bonus. I must admit I've been worn down by Betsy, Seg, TC, SkiNurse that I blend like a tree, rock, yurt, cement outhouse painted brown at Vail, patrol shack, little used garbage cans or just about any other ubiquitous male skier wink.gif

Go Kevin Go with yellow and whatever the girls further suggest. Enjoy the attention. Feel the verve. Be...be the object of slopeside admiration as you carve by. Yes, please keep the girls focused on you for another 3000 posts...that way they'll not turn their dogged attention to me, Bob or any of us gray men smile.gif

Kev, if you go for the pants you'll get more air and have more fun. Even if the air's only an inch. I swear. You'll ski better cause you've got to live up to the pants. Forget the rocker, go for the pants they're cheaper!

There's a downside to very bright pants. My first day wearing very bright green pants today. In the group I was skiing with, only I got checked for a lift pass, and that with an attitude he was sure I didn't have one. Worse, still wearing the pants, I went to a store looking for a jacket to go with the pants, or a different shell pant in orange, found kind of one but not enough on sale. Then drove out the lot to go to the next store. 2min later pulled over by cop for a brake light and a subsequent reg problem. Upshot, the whole thing cost me more than the pants or jacket would have at full price.

So, beware super bright pants and don't drive with them on. However, seg's are not that bright I think.

Meanwhile the Darth Vaders were commenting like crazy. I told one guy I ski with, all in black," you need green pants with that black jacket! Seriously, you're half way there already with those fat skis you've got on"

Oh Trust me when I say, you'll get enough influence when you come to ABasin for mother's day weekend.  Betsy, Segbrown, RachelV, SkiNurse, Lovebug........to name a few.

And that's just the women.  Imagine the Men who are part of the Jacket Slut ranks.  Philpug, Bumpfreaq, Don Denver, .............just saying......

Oh, no. I've been finding too many jackets on the peter glenn site. I already bought one jacket this winter. And I bought one "motivation" jacket. Sierra Trading Post has too many good sales.
