Curious if you have seen this before and what do you think of it? http://www.racerkidz.com/wiki/Blog:Razie_Ski_Blog/Post:Ski_Drill_-_Outside_boot_touch_with_a_twist

Thanks and cheers,

I wouldn't call it a new idea...

I've been teaching a similar method when doing 'J' turns.

Placing both hands on the top of the downhill boot, puts you in the same position.

In fact when doing 'outside boot touch' drills...I encourage students to touch top of outside boot with both hands as it promotes better separation and angulation, creating better balance and a stronger platform.

It works well...especially if a student inclines rather than angulate.

There's only that many ways to usefully contort kids' bodies smile.gif I figured others came up with the same idea - it's just that I didn't remember seeing it in the CSCF manuals...

Good idea - touch outside boot with both hands...
