How many ski areas have you visited THIS SEASON?
Just 4 this season over 45 days so far (going up for 46 tomorrow).
In order of days skied:
Mount Hood Meadows
After being skunked by crappy conditions seven times over three visits (no good days) last year at Whistler, I took the year off and didn't miss the place at all. In fact this is the first year in over a decade that I haven't skied in Canada at least once.
22 in one season is pretty amazing for a recreational skier/rider. I remember you told me about that fantastic card you had for a day at something like 10 northeastern ski areas for about $100 total. Did you get to all the areas on that card? Are you also a season pass holder anywhere?
I visited 14 different ski areas in six different states. My thing for writing trip reports motivates me to get around a good bit: Seven Springs, PA, Wintergreen, VA, Blue Knob, PA, Timberline, WV, Mt Bachelor, OR, Homewood/Squaw/Alpine Meadows/Sugar Bowl/Kirkwood/Sierra at Tahoe, CA, Sugarbush/Mad River Glen/Stowe, VT
Four new ones:
Montana Snow Bowl
Return visits to:
Too few days at:
Did a couple of runs at:
Took a wrong turn into and quickly retreated from:
I"m sayin' eight.
Also sayin' three in one day for the BS/MB/YC trio =D
Only 1 this year--Eldora. I had my best day ever skiing there so that will suffice for this year!
I think it would be really neat to ski every area in Colorado in one season (I think there are 25 resorts).
The OP's 22 is amazing! And it made me start wondering how many days I have been skiing during my life....I really hate insomnia.
not many but a couple new ones.
ones I have visited before
Stowe 120 + ish days
Mount Snow 2 days
MRG - 2 days
Timberline, wv - 4 days pre season
White Grass, Wv one day

*Wild Horse Snowcat
2011-12 was a personal record 33 areas, 13 new, 7 of those being backcountry on the November 2011 Antarctic cruise.
12 this year (working on 82 days so far).
Only two new areas, though (Vail and Powderhorn).
