Replacement boot for Lange 130 World-Cup LF

I love my boots but recently noticed they are getting a crack in the shell - what is a good boot with the same characteristics?

I think I have had these around 7 years...kind of thinking about the Surefoot Lange. It has also been suggested I try a Daleboot.

Weight 220 - Height 6'3" - very narrow feet - ski around 50 days a season

I had the same boot, same problem. Both of mine cracked in the same spot (instep) after a few years of use.

I also have a narrow foot. I initially replaced them with a Salomon Falcon boot, but never really took to them. After two seasons I replaced them with a new Lange 130RS and couldn't be happier.

BTW, I heard from several reputable people that that particular model of Lange was susceptible to those types of cracks. Oh well....

The Surefoot boot is just a Lange with the Surefoot logo on it.

My original footbed was made at Surefoot so I thought I would have it done all at once.

Which sizing chart should I go by?  My old Langes are 11's.  One chart above says 28.5 -- the other says 29.  I am buying the Lange RX130s L.V., or perhaps the RX130 Pro.

I'd skip the size chart and get my size based off of a Mondo Brannock and a shell fit.

If you are trying to buy over the interwebs, good luck.

Just ordered a pair (low volume) of these from Evo.

Pete, these boots are going to fit very differently than your current Langes. Narrow feet... Do you have any volume across the instep? Hopefully you do, or you'll be swimming even if the length and width are more or less correct. Hopefully it'll work out for you.

I bought the Low Volume. If they don't fit, I will return. The price was right so I thought I would take a shot.

I have relatively high arches -- I plan to pull my Surefoot / Dr. Dave Patterson / Jeff Bergeron footbeds from my old Lange's.

Guess I will need to see how they fit once they arrive in the next day or two.

Yes!  Just arrived - now to start tweaking. A little softer but I am fine with that.
