I just got in from California.
I feel a bit lost here. The season is quickly coming to a close and I want to hit up ALL of the Vail resort mountains in the time that I have left, which is 10 days.
1. Any chance of them extending the season, and at which resorts? I heard that A-Basin has a decent chance since it's at high elevation. What about Keystone, Vail, Breck, and Beaver Creek?
2. What's the parking situation like? I'm used to Lake Tahoe where you basically either drive into a free parking lot and a free shuttle takes you to the village entrance or you park in a free parking lot and walk directly to the lifts or you park at a nearby free casino parking lot and walk right to the gondola. I'll be doing a ton of weekday skiing.
From the preliminary research of Vail it looks like I have to park at some free parking lot far away, then wait for the free local bus, then make sure to get off at the right stop, then walk like 5-7 blocks to the lift lugging all my gear? What's it like at the other resorts?
3. What order should I hit up the resorts based on their snow coverage? I was going to do Beaver, then Vail, then Breck, then Keystone, and finally A-Basin since the season could get extended there.
