Anyone done a decent "test drive" of the 2014 Crimson?  If so, what did you think?

Thanks!

Used the 178 for 10 days, and then switched to the 186 for 4 days. Best version yet. Handles all conditions, and was still stable at 118km/h (longer length) .

Not a bad ski... for me it seemed much better off piste than on. Didn't particularly inspire confidence laying it over, but not bad either, just not my cup of tea... Skied the 184.

Skied the 178. When the Crimsom Ti was first introduced it was one of the more aggressive skis in it's class. The newest version has grown up and is smoother and more refined and just doesn't seem to have the bite of the previous generations.

Sure, it's my ski. See my review, tested a bunch in this Class. I chose this one. I think it really depends on your style and what you want, of course. But if you're a light skier who wants a ski that is solid quick Carves well still And is still quick I would recommend it.

Thanks.  Squawbomber, I read your review, but didn't realize you had the 2014 Crimsons.  The promos on You Tube say the 2014 Crimson is a "completely new version".   I didn't think that we mere consumers could get any 2014 models yet....

That's the key.

I'm not light by any means, 6'4 & 240#, and I don't find any performance limitations.

It could be loft that is giving the feeling that the ski doesn't have enough performance.
