We are going to be limited on space.  No demo fleet this time around. Sorry.

No I've developed more sophisticated techniques.
Now I detune the base which tunes both the edges at once. It's much quicker. Wintersteiger is interested in automating the method.
With a rope, your truck, and 200 ft of steel channel I can show you. We can practice on Dan's skis. If something goes wrong he'll never notice.

Is this proven? How about a tow strap? Don't want to invest in rope till I'm sure. Any PPE required? ...seems a padded hat might be warranted?

Will this work to recondition Kevin's bases?

When tog is involved. I would suggest a tin foil hat.

So jimmy,....you thinking you'd like to join us?

Did you see the snow pics?

Shall we dangle a carrot in front of your nose?

^^^ (Those don't look all that great)

Here's the carrot:

As far as helmets:

Richie-Rich would love this. Might fry in the sun though if it's hot up there.

RG-1 Core

That's a little core, so for the Ladies:

RG-1 Ice

What's the point of sizing these images if they just go back to original?? Verry annoying.

I was thinking the same thing! Jimmy will never come visit if we offer soggy limp carrots

If you are going to lure Jimmy, you have to use the right bait....

Here's some good bait From Arapahoe Basin's facebook wall

East Wall opens at noon today! Land of the Giants (terrain below the traverse), the North Pole hike-to, and Willy's Wide staircase. Tree Chutes will not open today. Have fun out there!

^^Yes that's better than week old carrots!

What's the deal with the tree chutes?
Is it a slide worry?

There's a story behind the droopy carrots.  One of the ladies that I encouraged to go to Abasin for Mother's day back in 2008 bought me that bunch of carrots as thanks for tempting her to join the gang.  A good time was had by all, and no carrots were harmed.

All the stuff between Tree Chutes and Willie's was slide-y yesterday, from up high. I'm not sure how far it went, if it covered the traverse or not, but getting there is probably not safe.

"You're sending The Wolf???"

"You feel better, m#&$*%!er?"

If Finn comes, he may bring one more pair of skis than he wants to take home....just sayin'.  I'll take the short walk to my Atlantic beach, with my wife, that weekend..

I had to think about that for a few seconds before the smile crept in... I'll keep them safe, he's not done breaking them in for you.  I wonder if I can get him on a pair of ~170, ~78mm, friendly blue cruisers that week, might help with the transition.

For any Colorado locals:

  • Where in Summit County could I at least get the skis waxed?  Bases are pretty dried out right now (and yes, I know this is something I should know how to do, but I don't...)
  • How close is the East Wall stuff to being open?  All the times I've been to A-Basin and the East Wall has never been open...  frown.gif
  • Do they sell bottled oxygen at A-Basin for us low-landers?  wink.gif

The iron is always hot in my garage, and I'm just a stone's throw from Chez Ziggy CO. (You guys still getting the same house as last year?)
