Last MA for the season!

Thread Starter

So it's been a good season for me this year, plenty of skiing with some video and here are the results, I have been trying to take into account what people have said they'd like to see in my skiing, and I'm hoping it's working. As always I appreciate any feedback, good or bad, and suggestions on how to improve are of course welcome.

Thanks for a great season of suggestions and thanks in advance for the feedback that I'm sure I'll get!!

Solid expert level skiing. Fluid, strong, fast, spectacular, dynamic, fun, relaxed are words that come to mind. This is what all mountain skiing is all about. People want to improve this and that but only thing they really need to improve are two basic technique areas: carving and brushed short turns. That covers it all.

I also liked the camera work, the edit and your ski jacket colors. And yes, all skiers ripp in that video. Only gripes I have is you guys not wearing helments.....

Great skiing. Looked like you were getting tossed around @ 1:45. Thanks for the vid.

Works for me Roland! Thanks for sharing. Just for fun, what were you working on in your skiing this season? What's your focus when you're skiing in particular parts of the clip? Not 'medium radius' or your season goals, but what's going on in your mind the first few turns in a particular part of your clips, how you psych yourself up, mimes, etc? Brain pan stuff. Thanks in advance! Oh, and what are you skiing on?

I love the way you ski, solid L4 skiing for sure.

My only comment would be that you ski much better when you give yourself time to really reach and extend those ankles into the next turn.  If you look at your long turns, which are just beautiful...you will notice how extended you get in the ankles/knees through transition and into turn intiation.  You should strive to get that in your shorts and bumps too.  That is not to say you dont ski well there...but its what I would try with you.
