Need Some Recommendations on Length of Fischer Hybrid 8

First some info about myself. I am an advanced intermediate skier (can handle some black diamonds with ease but not all) and thinking about getting a pair of Fischer Hybrid 8.0 or the new 8.5 for the coming season. I prefer lighter skis and spend about 74% of the time on piste. I am 6'0 and 200 lbs.

I am thinking of going either with the 175cm or the 182. When I use the product recommendation tool on Fischer's website, they recommended 182 but I am not quite sure because I have been demoing on a pair of Head Rev 85 Pro 177 cm for a while and kinda likes the performance except they are a bit softer than I like, and plus I did not fancy the graphics design at all...there is a 5 cm difference. I cannot find anywhere near me that has Hybrids (or any Fischer products, I'm in Calgary, Canada) for rent so I would not be able to try them. Any suggestions?

Really depends on how you want to ski the ski. If you are more interested in maneuverability/tactical skiing  than floatation/speed  then the shorter ski might be a better fit.  I am 5'10, 180 lbs and I  ski a 168cm Fischer Motive 84 C-Line. The shorter length gives me near slalom like agility and the ability to ski tight tricky spaces at slower speeds. Very fun setup for the east coast!  I  do let the ski run on occasion but tend to  keep the speed reasonable as the shorter length and lighter weight  have their limits. I ski bumps and off piste as much as much I can. The real limitation of the ski at this length is floatation! To ski this ski in snow deeper that 15cms requires 'speed'. The ski won't generate enough lift until I reach a moderate speed level which forces me to compensate by shifting weight to back seat. The real limiting factor here is the length and not the width.  Since I don't get to ski powder often this is not a concern for me. Having said that,  I  purchased a pair of 176cm Motive 88s   at a great price for those deeper snow days and to take on vacations.
