CAST Binding thread is worth following, folks

Some mentions of this have been kicking around but it's interesting enough to keep it on the first page IMO: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php/261186-CAST-Binding-Green-Mountain-Freeride-Lars-Chickering-Ayers-Binding-is-live?p=3951364&posted=1#post3951364

They're into Kickstarter mode, looking for commitments from early adopters. Have followed it, seems like a very strong idea, and doesn't involve putting our knees on the line, since proven bindings are involved. Biggest issue, obviously, is whether you own a tech boot or need to have your alpine retrofitted.

If there has to be 3 threads, why not make one of them 'I love this idea and I pledged $____ to the kickstarter campaign, that's how strong I feel about it.'

To be honest, I'm kind of surprised no one with the big bucks has gotten behind this yet. The technology is there, waiting to be developed with a little tlc a.k.a money. The model they have know is sweet, I'd buy one, but imagine they make a sliding rail system for the heel and toe, that locks in the same way this one does... you could have a schizo effect but with any binding you wanted, and multiple bindings. I think that would be cool.

You can pledge to donate as little as $5. Step up, don't wait for others "with big bucks"... that's the whole point.
