Does longer skis have better edge hold? Reason i ask is that I got a 176 bbr 8.9 but it seem to lack some edge hold when carving, I am wondering if its the ski problem or is the length.

i had a pair the same length and i never had a problem with putting the ski on edge and getting it hold in most conditions. when was the last time that you got them properly tuned?

Actually still factory tuned, how should I ask them to tune it? I demoed other skis Fischer Motive and Volkl RTM, the skis seem to glue to the ground when turn, it felt reallyg ood.

In most cases the factory tune is pretty poor.  Get them tuned at a good shop, probably 1 and 3, ski them and report back.  But don't expect much grip when skiing crushed ice the size of ping pong balls.
