Bluebird Sunday in Silverton, CO

Made it out to Silverton for the first time on March 10th. What a phenomenal experience - maybe the best day of hiking/skiing in my life. Tough to make the claim coming off a 20" day at Wolf Creek the day before, but certainly a top 3 day. Had an awesome group, ripping guide, and blue skies to boot! that looks awesome.. i have to go there one day... it looks like catskiing with a less stiff pricetags.Is there a lot of tree sking after the alpine terrain?

 

maybe if i ever do a 2 week trip in colorado i can squeeze silverton in it.. (but judging from google maps it seems pretty far from everything!)
