I am not sure I understand the difference?  I am about to pull the trigger on MX 83's and am wondering which  binding to choose.

Thanks for your help.

K11's go up to 11 DIN, K12's go up to 12 I would assume.

Is that it or does the 12 have a diagonal heel release??

I'm not sure, you should be able to find the answer though.

The K11 does not have a twin cam heel, so it takes a lot more force to get into. I have skied both, I would get the K12 for sure, although the only meaningful difference would be clicking in dealing with deeper powder, in which case neither binding is likely optimal.

It bugged me a bit to pick up a demo 180cm Lx82 with a K11 after owning a 172cm Lx82 with a K12, but in practice it has been nothing but click-in pressure.

Both heels are Tyrolia LD's. They both have a diagonal release that begins once the vertical lift begins, not flat on ski. IME, having used both, it's more than just 1 DIN point, the 11 can be prone to releasing pretty easily in manky snow, and yeah, it feels different when clicking in. The 12 IMO feels more solid. If you're under 180, it should be fine. If you're not, just slap on Head Mojo 15's or Tyrolia Peak 15's.

Thanks Beyond.  I ended up with the K12.

Do you guys know if the K11 TI will work with Fischer' power rail system?
