I recently acquired a pair of old K2 omni 5.5 skis with Marker Mod 11.0 IBC bindings. Adjusting for the new boot sole length by unlocking and moving the front and heel on the rail was simple. Adjust the Din setting was also simple.
But I'm unsure about the forward pressure. Where I would expect an adjustable screw (normally below the heel Din screw) there's a non-rotatable peg. On the top of the peg is a notch and on the notch appears to be an arrow. It would seem that one should align the arrow's point flush with the heel when the boot is locked in. Without an forward pressure adjustment screw it would seem that the only adjustment to the forward pressure would be the course heel placement (not very fine grained)....but even when I alter the heel placement tighter or looser, the peg with the arrow does not appear to be effected even after relocking the boot into the ski. The arrows point is no further or closer to the heel than it was before
I've been reading other posts here to get clues and I know there is going to be an avalanche of those you saying I should take the skis to a shop to get adjusted. If you are that type of person, I thank you for your advice, but at the same time I would like to know the most of the equipment I own.
So does anyone know if there is a forward pressure indicator or adjustment capabilities on the Marker Mod 11.0 IBC binding? What's the proper procedure to adjust the forward pressure?
