Sorry...I should know better than to start a thread like this.
Been wracking my brains over new skis. Have it down to Prophet 90 or 98. I have skied both (well actually the previous version of each) and like both. Currently on k2 PEs that are getting old. 90 percent of my skiing is at my home "mountain" that's all of 900 feet of vertical and usually hard or groomed...but if there is snow in the woods we will be there. Enjoy the bumps unless they are ice.
So...first, is a 98 mm ski just plain overkill? Yeah, we take a trip west as often as we can, and hit northern VT now and then, but that's the 10%.
And...since I skied the prior versions, how big a difference does the early rise make on the 98 from the 100?
