Ski size

Thread Starter
I just bought a pair of Rossignol Bandits, Size 170. I'm worried they might be too long for me. I'm 5'3 and weigh about 125 pounds. I'm an intermediate skier and only ski about 3-4x per year. I wish more but I live in the South!

Just curious what the general rule is on Parabolic skis. Is the length fine for an intermediate skier or should I go shorter? What's the general rule to measure? Thanks!

Welcome to Epicski.

I have not skied the bandit so I'm not too sure about the length of the ski and how it skis. Not trying to be personal but you might want to post your weight as this is also a big factor in determining ski length.

Do you have an option to return the skis? if so let us know. FYI I'm 5'8" 155 lbs and upperadvanced/expert and ski the X-Scream at 187CM. A lot has to do with where you ski, what kind of terrain and how fast. A lot also depends on your comfort with speed and stability. You can probably go shorter but again, it may be just a matter of preference.
