And at Sugarloaf too. Blues skies, no wind, packed powder and, not surprising, the biggest crowd I can remember.

Yeah, I had a (very) few runs at Cranmore. (Long story.) Anyway, yes: Full-on spring conditions, complete with sun-burns, overdressing, and big soft corn-y bumps on Koessler. Kind of killing me that I was not able to get up to Saddleback this weekend, as the current fabulously deep and soft base in the woods and on the natural snow runs is unlikely to last, unless we get a dump, which is not in the forecast at the moment. (Still could happen, though ... probably while bbinder and I are in Montana. rolleyes.gif)  D1, hope you got into Brackett while the getting is good, or at least onto the old-school non-snowmaking terrain. Still haven't been into the newer part of the Basin myself. Meanwhile, since I can't do what I REALLY want to do today, at least I was smart enough to skate-ski a bunch of km this morning so that I'm drained enough not to be chafing for more leg burn or oxygen debt.

Didn't make it into the Basin. But the snow was full on winter. Even in the high 30's all day, the snow was light and firm. Would have actually been better if it had softened some. Basically did fast laps on Nitro and Gondy Line and Gauge. The best runs were on Skidder which had BIG soft bumps - and once they form, nobody goes on it. Good place to practice your bump technique without subjecting your manhood to the merciless catcalls from the chair. Not that I care....

Have an amazing time in Montana - Big Envy.
