I stumbled on to a really fun ski totally by accident that you may like for that and more.. The Nordica El paco 127-87-114 16.5m @177cm, I am skiing the 169 14.5m and it is an amazing NE all-mountain ski. It has a strange flex pattern and is very light weight with a very snappy liveliness to it, yet damp also will hold an edge markedly better than my 173 Bushwacker on the groomers and has just as much float in knee deep powder (my Knees, I'm only 5'6"). The amazing part is its capabilities in the skied out trees and bumps. It has enough stifness and dampness to handle afternoon crud pretty well too. I has no metal and subtle early rise tip and tail but does not behave as such on the groomers, yet it is one of the easiest turning and pivoting skis I have been on with a sweet spot for every stance. It is the same construction and shape as the soul rider but narrower making it much quicker edge to edge. I have to admit it is ugly though, but I liked it so much I had to have it over the prophet 90. I would say its edge hold is that of the prophet but less damp and alot more lively with alot less weight. Check it out, there is not many reviews on it though. I wonder why it is not returning for 2014, for such a fun ski it had a very short life. BTW this is the first nordica i have owned, and I will definatley keep it and add a 102sh to 108sh maybe next year, possibly another twin, though I'm only in the park to check on my kids so can't comment on that aspect, the loose tail just suits my skiing style.
