I'll follow the format from the review below:

Ski Make: Volkl
Ski Model: Vertigo Motion
Ski Length: 177
Snow Conditions Used In: Early season; 2-6" fresh snow, icy base
Number of Days Used: 3
Your Ability: Intermediate?
How Many Years Have You Been Skiing: 3 seasons( winter 2001, winter 2002, this winter)
Avg. Days per Year Skiing: 30
Your Height/Weight: 6'0" 220lbs (yep I'm identical)
Age: 32 (yeah I started late but I live in VA and we have year round whitewater)

I would suppose I am a true intermediate, I ski mostly at Snowshoe and do occassionally run blacks there but have skied out west (Colorado,Utah) and up north (Vermont) and at those locales always stick to greens and blues. Anyway went to Killington for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. Ran nothing but blues after a few warmups and could definitely tell a difference with these skis. I even ran East Fall with no problems ( hey it was a big deal to me, I hate bumps). These skis were stable at speed, were good at all turns and I even ran some beginner bumps (blues) with no troubles. Compared to my last years Rossi Rebels (170) these skis are made of gold. Anybody intermediate level looking to step up ought to consider these skis. I am looking forward to running more stuff this year. And the 177 length was fine for me. I am heading to SLC for a week next Saturday so if anyone wants I'll post an addition when I return. I am really looking forward to getting out there with these skis.

#Skied on them most of last season and loved them too.

Lots of people in the lift queue wanted an opinion on how they were going. They can tackle a few more challlenges like trees and powder well, so enjoy!

I have 3 days on mine and I really like them. I weigh 180 and I got 177cm. They are the most versatile ski I've ever had. They work in everything from eastern ice to moguls to crud to 12" of fresh. They are stable at high speed and actually work better the faster you go. Some people have reported problems with the Motion bindings in moguls and off-piste, but I haven't had any pre-releases at all. Those of you who think 177 was too small can relax. The skis work fine.

Ok, I'm back. 2 days at Alta and 3 at Brighton and the skis are still GREAT! I can even do a 360 on these skis without falling. Had a good time in Utah, nothing fully open but still good. Gotta love a 4 for the price of 1 on Wed ($10 lift ticket) at Brighton. Nuff said, but these skis are definitely helping me ski better and more confidently.
