Obviously they dont carve as well as a narrower ski, but thats a given. What im gettin at is when we talk about 98-108mm mid fats, people say your asking too much out of the ski for all those attributes. People say its impossible. Why is it possible for 110-120mm skis?
Physics show that 98-108mm is still large enough for optimum or "enough" flotation (aslong as under 220 lbs), but why cant these do it all? It seems like your looking for an advanced ski, your either picking a damp stable big mtn charger, or a lively, playful treeski. Theres no talk of mid fats being able to carve, pivot, tight trees, tight chutes, huck cliffs, low swingweight, charge crud, rip chop, slay runout, and at the same time lively and playful...theres talk of true fats doing all those things...
Am i the only one that sees this? Or am i just insane and a complete tool bag?
