I've tried on the Nordica Dobermann, per moreoutdoor's advice, who has been a great help, and it fits quite well in a size 24.5 for my 25.5 cm long foot and 25 cm instep. I'm still intrigued by three piece cabrio designs though, and was wondering if anyone has any info on how the fit of hte two boots compare. They're both a 98 mm last, and my only concern would be the instep, which I have read has be made higher for hte KR2 from its previous models, but might still be to low for me. And I also read somewhere that they can quite easily be made to have a higher instep. Is that true? Some info on fit differences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

no offense, but it's your foot, and your footbed that is going into these boots. what do you care what anyone else on this forum thinks about your foot and footbed, which you have not described for anyone here to be able to give you some guidance.
why don't you go and try these boots on in your correct size with your footbed installed and then come back and ask questions, as if you will actually have any after you go through the above mentioned exercise.
or we can do it the way that most would like us to which includes a WAG and shameless promotion of product that we have to sell.
never mind just go with whichever one is red, cause red is faster, that's why they make fire trucks that color.
yeah, I've been thinking that the green in the KR isn't going to be any good...lol.
Anyway, the information that I'm trying to get is how the instep compares between the two boots. There are not a whole lot of 24.5 Kr2 around right now, so it's kind of hard to try them on.
