I have new boots, fitted by a well known bootfitter, and they did fit me like a glove. My issue though is right now I am day 3 of a 7 day ski trip, and my feet have swollen and the boots have been crushing them for the last 2 days making skiing unbearable. Today I removed my instaprints and to generate some room, and just bought a pair of superfeet (since they take up less volume then my instaprints.) The local shops are recommending punching the boots, but I am hesitant to do that, since the problem is definetly my swollen feet (visibly swollen), and punching the extra room would alleviate the problem for now, but in my mind just bring me problems in the future once the swelling goes down. The squeeze areas are my whole forefoot (not the toes) and the top of my foot (instep?). Typically I can see the tendons on the top of my foot, but now my feet are one complete mass accross with no visible tendons. Does anyone have any recommendation for this type of issue?
