2012 Sultan 85..184..Tune?

I bought a pair of these as demo's. Too cheap not to try. They were not skiable. Unbelievable..ice skate like grip on ice. Just as grabby wanting to ridiculously oversteer when hitting ICE.otherwise great. Performance was stunning..short radius carved turns..stupid easy to turn..

I took them to a big shop that has tuned/done work for me for a long time. He asked if I had looked at the base. lol..no I hadn't.

Did a binding test..skiied them..didn't like how they acted..brought them in lol.He said they were absoutely gobbed with hardened or some weird..storage? wax..and could not even scrape them! They tuned them to factory specs..they are waaay better..but still somewhat grabby..ONLY ON ICE? I was thinking of de-tuning them. More base, less side edge angle near the forebody  of the ski..or maybe this is the way this beast is and just sell them.Any thoughts? Thanks!

Yes, with a gummy stone detune about a foot of the tips and tails and I think you will be happier.  I was.
