Hello All I am back from now posting for a long time.

So Heres the Update just came back for a week skiing at the Kicking Horse Ski Resort in BC

Amazing is all I can say. I have ski at Revelstoke 3 times and Whistler also.

But Kicking Horse bakes the cake. Amazing all the way.

The Bowls and terrain of this place were completely amazing. Great challenges and terrain of great fun for everyone.

Looks like I will just be going to this one for ski trip from now on.

Otherwise other one on my list to try is Jackson Hole in Wyoming.

Thanks guys

Good to hear!

So now you won't EVER make a single post that asks if Kicking Horse is a good resort, right?

No, now he'll just make multiple posts about how great it is.

So WT, what specifically did you like about Kicking Horse? What runs were your favorite? Any restaurants, hotels and bars that you'd recommend? How was the flight and drive there?

I drove to Golden from Calgary. Drive is amazing. only 3 and half hours.

For eating at the resort. I would say try the Eagles Eye Restaurant at the top of the gondola. A little pricey, but really neat and food is good. Good for at least one meal.

For runs at the top of the mountain. The Stairway to Heaven from the ridgeline is amazing. Also the Faux Bowl from the top is amazing. That places has many bowls. About 10 to be exact if all were open.

The resort and hills are almost like an upside down pyramid. you start wide and you all funnel down to the same area by the gondola at the end. very good

overall I recommend.

So the questions is where to go next.

So far this seems to be the biggest and baddest. But of course I am wrong. there are others that are different.

So like to hear what others can say about Kicking Horse? did you like it? if u did not? then why did you not like it here?

Can someone pose a question to worldtraveller something about Kicking Horse or Golden that can only be known by someone that's been there... something you can't google?

I still question whether he's been.

Where did you stay?

Did you eat in the yurt?  What kind of food did they have there?

Did the groom both CPR & Redemption ridge?

Glad you liked it!

Given all that's transpired between Traveller and Kicking Horse, can I nominate him as a resort ambassador?

another picture there. Of one of the bowls. great place

I didnt eat at the Yurt, but i looked cool. I ate at Day Lodge, simple hot dogs and hamburgers and ate at the Eagles Eye restaurant on the top of the mountain. had some soup there

the groomed main runs. It finally snowed on the friday i was there, and got some nice powder really amazing place.

Recommend you all to go. One of the best place. Talks i heard they might get or build another lift. as the gondola can get quite busy at times.

that would be awesome if they were able to do that.

who else on here has gone to KH recently?

now do u all believe me ?

Oh for colour of mens washroom, well one washroom in the Eagles Eye restaurant had waterless fixtures, and one urinal.

in the day lodge, bathroom is down the stairs, by locker room, its kind of grey and concrete inside there.

Well, at least you finally pulled the trigger after all that intensive research. Glad it lived up to expectations. Kicking Horse does look like an awesome resort.

I have been to KH, and the Banff area. A 7-10 day trip

is needed to hit all the resorts, and to do all the driving

in an enjoyable manner. The area is stunning. The Canadian Rockies

are spectacular, The Canadian people are great. I am thinking

going to Revelstoke, and taking a day trip to KH which is about 2

hours away. Remember, Fernie is about 3 hours fro Calgary

as well and a great resort. BC is arguably the best place to ski in North America.

You have Sunshine, Lake Louise, KH, Fernie, Panaroma, Revelstoke,

Big White, Silver Star, Sun Peaks, Red Mountain, etc. Most of these

resorts average 3,000 acres. You have multiple cat skiing and heli operations

that you do for a day.
