2008 Ski boots vs 2013 ski boots

my local shop has some crazy sales on some really old model ski boots, they are 2008-2010, one that caught my eyes were the lange supercomp 140 HF, fit me like gloves, a bit too beefy for me, but the price is unbeatable ($149), I am thinking of getting it for when I got better.

Is there any major different between the older models ski boots vs now? what are the improvements over the pass 4 years?

Salomon has a Custom Shell Technology.  Fischer has its Vacuum Shell Technology.  Look them up.

I feel that the biggest change to boot design over the past few years has been the foot delta.  Traditionally in a boot, the foot is ramped in the heel, and the upper cuff is angled forward.  Due to modern shapes and rockers, a foot sits flatter in a boot, and the lower leg is not as angled forward; it is a bit more upright.  This causes the skier to feel more centered on the ski.

I don't know much about that boot, so I'm not going to give an opinion on it.
