2012 vs 2013 model of Tecnica boot

I skied a 2013 Tecnica Viva Phoenix Max 10 boot (womens) this past weekend out in Utah and loved it loved it loved it.  Absolutely great for the long days of skiing.  No fatigue.  Just really worked perfectly for me.  BUT I CAN'T FIND THE 2013 MODEL IN MY SIZE!

I can find (a few) of the 2012 model in my size.

My question:  How much of a change was there between the 2 years?  If I loved the 2013, will the 2012 be just as good?

Second Question Any idea where I could find a 26.5 size in the 2013?  I've searched all over the internet and I'm kind of dumbfounded that there is not a single pair available anywhere???  Same at the local shops.  frown.gif

THANKS!

I just had a ski shop owner tell me that if I can wear the 26.5, then I can wear the 26.0 as I'm a normal shoe size 8.5-9 and the only difference between these two is liner inside (or something like that).  True?

Am I getting the name wrong for the 2013 model?

26.0 and 26.5 will fit the same

make sure this is not too big for you.   26 = ladies 10-11 shoe..

2012 and 2013 fit just about the same

Thanks! I skied a 26.5 and it felt great. First time I've ever skied hard in mountains for 3 days and not had sore shins....or sore anything! I figure that means they're a keeper.

For about 10 days of skiing, then we get to answer "Why did the shop sell me boots 2 sizes too big, and what can be done?"

I'm 6'3" wear a men's 11 shoe and ski in a 26.5... I can't see your feet from here, but I know that a 26.5 will be too big for you.
