A few friends and I are planning our first trip to Tahoe (we're all recent transplants from the East Coast) and we decided on Squaw...but the soonest time we're all able to go is March 13th. We're planning on skiing 3 days (2 weekdays and 1 weekend day). However, I have heard mixed things about Tahoe ski conditions in mid-March - it seems like it's either dumping and awesome or not snowing (and potenially raining if it's too warm) and terrible. I would be flying in to Reno from LA and I'm not trying to spend a bunch of money on plane fare and accomodations unless there is a very good chance that we're gonna have some good conditions. So, what do you guys think? It is worth it? Can anyone give me "odds" on it being completely terrible? Thanks for any help!
