With all the fog we had all day Friday and then Saturday until about 1pm, it's hard to believe that last picture (with the blue skis) was from the same weekend.  It was a window of nice weather for about 3 hours or so, I certianly made the most of it while I could actually see what I was skiing  smile.gif

Great pics

Third generation skier finds good snow on the face of Extrovert.

So... Had an MRI on Thursday and heard from the ortho on Friday. Looks like I'm going under the knife. ACL is gone. Partial tear on MCL, so that can be rehabbed. Same doc who did DSloan's knee last May so I know I'm in good hands.

he wants to get it done in 2-4 weeks. Yikes!  It's amazing how ones outlook changes quickly in a moment.

hope to see you all out on the slopes again before TOO long.. Look for a postop surgery thread while I'm bored on the couch for the first week. Fun!

Cheers!

C.J.

Good luck with your PT and ACL coach. popcorn.gif

You have a lot to live up to.  We were obviously hoping the ACL was spared.  Keep us posted.  You're young and should do great with this.  After all, your doctor has had some practice on the family knees.

Oh no, Mr.DSloan. I had hoped it was just a minor sprain. Heal fast and well and we'll ski next season.

Sending vibes for a solid rehab to Mr. DSloan!

Well, though it really sucks that the ski season is done, "mother" will have a good ski day at the Basin while you and other dads manage the kiddos.  Hoping for a full recovery so we can get some laps together at BK next year.

Just thought I'd point out that Mr DSloan is now CJSloan.

CJ, here's hoping for a speedy and full recovery.

Well you could abuse your moderator powers and give him the title of Mr. Dsloan

What good are special powers if you don't abuse them from time to time.
