K2 Marker Bindings

Thread Starter

Hello all,

On many of the recent K2 skis they are sold with bindings as a package. MX 12, MX 11 and so on.

I've seen a few pairs of skis sold as "flat" skis without bindings. Can other bindings be mounted to the skis despite the built in tracks

or do you have to track down the factory bindings. I have looked around and do not see any vendors selling just the MX bindings.

I have a pair of Marker Titanium 12.0 bindings that I really like. Can these be mounted to the Rictor or Impact?

Thanks for the feedback.

A flat mount binding cannot be mounted on the Rictor or Impact rail system.

I'm confused. A ski sold as a flat ski should not have system binding rails. I did a quick google search and am seeing listings for Rictors and Impacts sold as a flat ski (and pictures confirm no rails) which should allow any non-system binding to be drilled.

Any new ski with rails should also be coming with the system bindings to attach to said rails. I know in the shops that the bindings frequently aren't installed for space reasons, but they should be included.  If you are buying a new ski with system binding attachments and no bindings, the seller is doing something odd. If these are used skis, I have no idea why somebody would remove bindings unless they were broken.

Rictors and impacts were sold either as a system or flat. Most shops bought them as a system.

Here's the simplicity.

Flat skis. Put whatever flat mount binding.

System skis. They use specific bindings designed around the integration. They are supposed to come with bindings.

If you bought a system ski that did not come with bindings, contact the seller.
