Choosing a K2 Recoil (Another length question- sorry)

I am looking at buying 2012 K2 Recoils with Marker Squire Schizo Bindings.  They are available for $400 out the door for both if I buy a 169cm ski, or I could pay $485 for 174cm or 179cm.

I am 6'5" and 185 lbs.  I ski all over the mountain, hike to powder, occasional rails in the park, and some groomers.  I would say that I ski 40% off trail, 40% groomers, and 20% park.  I would say that I am in between an intermediate and advanced skier.  I live in Arizona and get about 5 days a year in Arizona, and another 10 days in Colorado/Utah.

I've rented all my life and have rented the cheap 18 dollar rentals.  This weekend I rented a 169cm Recoil and it was great.  I decided that I definitely dont want to ski the cheap stuff any more.  I am going for a 4 day trip this month so it doesn't make sense to spend 150 bucks renting.

My question is, do you think that the 169cm is too short?  If so, should I go to a 174cm or 179cm.  I am having trouble making the decision mostly because of the extra 85 bucks.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

169 is way too short for you.  You should probably be on something around 185 but 179 will probably last you for a few years.
