Marker ERS 11.00 TS fitted to k2 superfree

I bought these for my wife and bindings have been set up to the skis and din settings done and forward pressure adjusted.
The thing that just concerns me is that when you have fitted the boot in the binding, the boots heel has a certain amount of lift if you pull it up from the binding.
It does not spring out of the binding, just lifts about 6 mm with the tension on the spring.
The technician got the same ski and binding set out of his hire fleet and tried it with a new boot and his did the same and said it must be normal for this binding.
I have some k2 rictors with mx 12 bindings and the boot is solid.
It's either in or unclips out.
Does anybody have experiences with marker ERS 11.00 ts bindings?

I am not familiar with the amount of play in that particular binding, but I'm sure someone will pop in to help you out.

Just wondering. What DIN does your wife have bindings set at?

Hi,
Her DIN settings are set at 5.

The ERS 11 binding uses Twincam heel piece. In lower settings, the boot heel will lift a few millimeters when there is some vertical pressure exerted. It will drop back down when there is less pressure. The binding is doing what it is designed to do: absorb shock.

Thanks for that Denny,
That's put my mind at rest as a ski coming off mid flow is as bad as a ski not coming off.
Is the mx12.00 on my rictor not twincam? And are they a good quality binding.
Mine are set at DIN 7.
Kind Regards

You have a Royal series heel. Basically your bindings are Marker Griffons that are integrated to your skis.

The Twincam heel is a reliable design. It was made in lighter weight to beefy World Cup race configurations. I have a DIN 13 version of that heel piece on one of my skis. After several seasons of use, the bindings work just fine.
