Comparison ... Nordica Beast and Lange Super Banshee

Hi ... 6' - 260lb, advanced, skier here who is currently in Utah skiing :).  First day on the hill my 6-7 yr old Nordica Beast boots just killed my feet, but have gotten much more comfortable over the past 2 days.  Couple of things that happen to me with the Beasts are on long cat tracks my calves start to burn really bad and late in the day I'm always tightening the buckles to a tighter position.

My suspicions are I am a bit knock knee'd and think this is part of the reason for the cat track burn.  Too, I think the liners are mostly packed out and thus the need to constantly tighten through the day.

While checking out some gear at one of the local shops I spied a new pair of Banshees which seemed to fit well. These have moldable liners, but seemed to be stiffer and the cuff seemed higher. The shop has a good price on 'em so I just wanted some info on the differences, strengths and overall adjustability (side canting for the knock knee issue) on the Banshee in relation to the older Beasts.

Ciao .... Dorm

lange SB are a fine boot but make sure they fit right,  the boots you have are fine, nothing wrong with them, other then they dont fit YOU.

also do you have any support under your foot like a trim to fit or custom footbed?

So I purchased the Banshees and skied these yesterday ... all day long.  I bought these at Diamond Peak Mtn Sports in Eden and the boot guys there took the time to make tweaks to the shell, some small punching and a couple of options to make the fit comfortable.  The guys there were very patient and worked immediately to fix the smallest point.

In skiing yesterday, I had to go back to the lodge a couple of times early on; pull the boots off and sit a bit; put them back on and then ski some more.  After lunch ... no issues.  Excellent value with the boots and special kudos to the bootfitters at .Diamond Peak Mountain Sports in Eden, Ut.
