I have been on the F17 Classics the past two seasons and am in the position to be replacing them with another set of bump skis. I was originally drawn to the Classics due to their all-mountain friendly sidecut of 103-66-89 in 175. It has been suggested to me to switch to the World Cups for my new pair. I know they are slightly narrower at 99-67-87 in 175 but I can't tell if this would make a lot of difference as they are still quite a bit more shaped than most competition level mogul skis. Also, would the flex amount and pattern be the same/similar?
I like that the harts have some guts to them and I find them adequate for just about everything in the East. Recently I have discovered that the newest version of the Volkl Wall Moguls also have a large amount of sidecut for a bump ski at 105-65-89 also in a 175. Does anyone have any experience with the Volkls and how they might compare? Also, any idea what the Volkls should cost? I have a shop that is looking into it here locally for me and I'm hoping to get a great deal on them because I have been having unresolved boot issues with them and this might be how they make up for it. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
