I am so confused with the "Buddy Passes" that I have with my Vail Epic Local Pass

So.... if I bought my pass before 4/15/2012 I automatically have 6 Buddy Passes loaded onto the card? So I can go to the ticket window and buy up to six $60 Buddy Passes, right? I really can't find any info on this anywhere, or even how many Buddy Passes I have when I log into my account.

And from my understanding, this is different from the "Ski with a Friend" pass, which sucks, because it's only like $10 off the regular price.

Simple

From the email they sent me

GRAB A BUDDY AND GET OUT ON THE MOUNTAIN

Ski With A FriendDid you know that as a valued pass holder, you get six discounted ski with a friend tickets loaded onto your pass for friends and family?

Plus, if you bought your pass last spring, you also have Buddy Tickets! Buddy Tickets are tickets at a flat discounted rate ($79 at Colorado Resorts, $70 at Tahoe Resorts) that are also loaded directly onto your pass.

Pass purchased by 4/15/12 - you got 6 Buddy Tickets.
Pass purchased by 5/27/12 - you got 2 Buddy Tickets.

Just take your guest to the ticket window and present your pass to receive these discounts. Not sure how many SWAF or Buddy Tickets you have left? Call our Customer Service at 888-215-3867 and we'll look you up!

And from the vail website

Buddy Tickets
Buddy Tickets are tickets at a flat discounted rate ($79 at Colorado Resorts, $70 at Tahoe Resorts) that are available to pass holders who purchased their 2012-2013 passes before 5/27/12. All early Spring 2012 season pass purchases except Epic Pass and Epic 7-Day were eligible for the Buddy Ticket Program. Like Ski With A Friend tickets, Buddy Tickets are loaded directly onto your pass.

  • If you purchased your pass by 4/15/12, you received 6 Buddy Tickets.
  • If you purchased your pass by 5/27/12, you received 2 Buddy Tickets.

And the SWAF are more like $20-25 off the ridiculously high single day ticket price.  Discount varies depending on holiday, non-holiday, etc.

Ah, gracias. I was searching for "buddy passes" not "buddy tickets"

So instead of the $102 window price for a ticket at Heavenly, it's $70.
